Who is Michele Antiques?

Michele Antiques is a French antiques and interiors business, selling decorative antique and vintage home interiors. Read more on our ‘About Me’ page.

Where are you based?

We are a UK-registered business but we live full time out in France. Read our blog on life in France here.

Do you have a shop?

No, but we do have a large pitch in Hemswell Antiques Centres (Gainsborough UK).

We also stand at several large antiques fairs around the UK, including Newark & Kempton.

Can I buy online?

Yes, we have a new online shop. Browse our products here.

How can I pay?

Products from our shop are payable via Paypal. For large items, we also accept a BACS bank transfer – please contact us for details.

For fairs, we accept cash or cheque. Please note – we do not have a card machine for credit or debit cards.

How do you ship items to the UK?

We ship small, non-delicate items such as textiles to the UK via the postal service. Shipping costs will be added to the price.

Larger items are collection only. We can arrange to bring the items to one of our antiques fairs, or drop it off at Hemswell Antiques Centres for collection.

Where else do you ship to?

Small items can be shipped worldwide – shipping costs will be calculated separately.

How long does shipping take?

All items will be despatched within 3 days of purchase. Standard shipping to the UK usually takes one week. The French postal system is very reliable but can be a bit slow.

Shipping worldwide can take up to one month, depending on your local customs and postal services.

What’s your returns policy?

Our products are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, which allow for a seven-day ‘cooling off’ period. During this time, you may cancel your order in writing by letter or email, at any time up to and including the seventh working on which you received your purchase.

The goods must then be returned to Michele Antiques within 14 days after the date of receiving the item, for a full refund or exchange, providing that:

  1. The goods are returned in the same condition they were sold, including all original packaging materials.
  2. Delivery & collection charges are not refundable.
  3. A valid receipt or proof of purchase is produced.

Damaged goods must be reported to Michele Antiques within 24 hours of delivery. After this time we cannot accept responsibility for damage reported.
